Every year, individuals at JADE have made the effort of performing random acts of kindness throughout the Christmas period. Combining ideas, we thought we’d give you all some ideas and inspiration to start doing your own! We promise, if you take the time to do even ONE of the things on the list below, your Christmas will be made that much merrier!
- GIFT CARDS
Greggs and other high street bakeries offer gift cards. You can get £3 put onto a gift card which is the equivalent of a meal deal and hand them out to homeless people. - LOCAL SERVICES
Purchase a couple of tins of biscuits or a tub of chocolates and on Christmas eve deliver them to the local services i.e. police station, ambulance station, fire station etc. Make our local community workers feel appreciated for the sacrifices they make. - HELP IN THE COMMUNITY
Donate food to your local food bank. This sounds simple and straight forward, but any donation will greatly help those less fortunate. - INVITATION
Invite someone who you know will be on their own for Christmas, to spend Christmas day with you and your family. This doesn’t cost anything but will mean the world to that special individual. - ACTS OF KINDNESS
Set up a hot chocolate stall outside your local supermarket and hand out free hot chocolates! Its as easy as that! - KNOCK A DOOR RUN
If you know of someone who has had a hard year, put together a little hamper drop it off on there doorstep, knock on the door and run. - SINGING
Visit the elderly in a local care home and sing Christmas carols. This goes down a treat no matter where you go. - WARM HANDS
Buy a Hat and gloves for someone homeless - SWEET
Leave candy canes on the wind screen of cars. You never know who is going through a hard time, a small act of kindness can bring a smile to someone’s face. - ANIMAL LOVERS
Purchase some extra food for animals and donate them to the local animal shelter.
By doing random acts of kindness you have the power to change someone’s life for the better.
MERRY CHRISTMAS from everybody here at JADE!
